No more cold nights for me=) I have to say this blanket was the best blanket I ever purchased. I tend to get cold often, especially at night. I set the blanket on preheat about 10minutes before I am headed to sleep. It preheats the sheets and warms the bed, so when you first lay down your on a nice warm bed! Much better then cold sheets. The temperature control unit is quite nice. Its digital and lights up in the dark, just enough to see, not overally bright at all. It ranges from PH (preheat) through H (high) with 1-10 in the middle. I tend to keep it on a higher setting at first then adjust it to around 4 or 5 for the night. Best thing is the blanket has an autoshut off. Many mornings I awake and rush out and forget to turn the thing off, but I need not worry. I’ve had mine a few months now and would not trade it.
I keep an extra blanket on my bed as well, although its light. I have my sheet, then the electric blanket, then another blanket on top. It keeps the electric one cleaner and some people prefer more of a snuggly blanket. At least this way you get the best of both worlds:)
