We keep our bedroom windows open all winter (in Illinois) and this blanket has kept us toasty. The blanket is made with two layers of material, the top layer is a cotton weave, and the bottom layer a fuzzy acrylic with the heating elements in between. There’s no annoying clicking when the thermostat goes on and off, and the light on the control is so pale that I can have the control next to my pillow without it disturbing me. A great blanket at a great price!
